The World Affairs Council of Tacoma creates and promotes activities to enhance public awareness of and interest in international, cultural, economic, and political issues -- especially those with relevance to the greater Tacoma community. We provide insight into today’s world through special guest speakers, travel programs, and unique networking events, including the Washington State Consular Association Reception.

Who should join?

Our membership is a group of South Sounders who are passionate about fostering global engagement and aiding in connecting our region with the rest of the world. We are always looking for like-minded individuals to help us in our mission. 

Why join?

We need your support. We are a volunteer-driven organization with a commitment to providing great programming on topical global issues. Membership dues are critical to fulfilling that mission and enabling us to meet program expenses. If you share this commitment, we very much hope you will become a member. Membership is tax deductible, and the World Affairs Council of Tacoma is a 501©(3) non-profit organization.
