About the event

DESCRIPTION

A panel of three international trade experts (an importer, a freight forwarder, and an international business professor) will discuss the technicalities of import tariffs and the likely short and long-term consequences of a budding trade war. 

 

PANEL SPEAKERS

Deborah Li is the Vice President of Sales for Mode Imports, based in Tacoma.  Mode Imports provides General Merchandise and Seasonal products to US based grocery stores and mass market retailers.

 

Emma Perruccio is an Account Executive for Kintetsu World Express (KWE), based in Seattle. KWE is a global logistics and freight forwarding company, specializing in air and ocean freight, customs brokerage, and supply chain solutions. 


Andreas Udbye, Ph.D., is a Professor of logistics at Tacoma Community College and the University of Washington system. He has more than 40 years of experience as a supply chain practitioner and educator and served as the Executive Director of the World Trade Center Tacoma for seven years.
