WAC Tacoma Book Club: September Meeting

  • Thursday, September 24, 2020
  • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Virtual (Please RSVP for Zoom link!)

Registration is closed

Our virtual book club is open to all!  It’s theme until 2021 is The Traveler’s World  and features books on travel or adventure narratives. We’re very lucky to have Beth Ahlstrom, former WACT board member and seasoned international traveler, as our host. The second book we’re reading is A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush by Eric Newby. Described as ‘a classic of travel writing,’ the book  describes the author’s journey through one of the most remote and beautiful wildernesses in the world—the mountains of Afghanistan. Deemed ‘one of the best books about mountaineering ever written, and certainly one of the funniest,’ we think you’ll enjoy it as much as the book club discussion which follows. Please plan to join us.
