Let’s celebrate International Education Week with World Affairs Council and Tacoma Community College (TCC) Homestay Program! This Travel Talk will focus on Kitakyushu, Japan, one of the sister cities of Tacoma. It is the 60th anniversary since the relationship started and TCC has worked with the University of Kitakyushu for more than a decade of student exchange.

Travel Talk - Kitakyushu will provide information regarding historical background on Tacoma and Kitakyushu's relationship, we well as how that relationship has had a positive impact on educational institutions, students and community members. There will also be a panel discussion by faculty and four TCC students who just returned from the Sustainability Conference in Kitakyushu. This program will give you comprehensive information and ideas about how sister cities can benefit all of us! Come enjoy meeting with students from Kitakyushu, experience Japanese culture and learn about how a city and higher education can collaborate together!

All travel talks are free and open to the public.

You can view directions to TCC here - and guest parking pass is here. Please make sure to print out your guest parking pass and display it on your dashboard!
