Global Classroom 04-27 at 530 PM UWT Y Center

Washington State has taken center stage in the legal battle over the Trump Administration’s proposed immigration reforms. As the legal battle unfolds, Washington State could see profound changes in our relationship with the rest of the world. Join our conversation with State Solicitor General Noah Purcell, who successfully argued in federal court to block Trump’s travel ban earlier this year. We will also be joined by Liz Dunbar, Executive Director of Tacoma Community House, and Jeff Riedinger, UW Vice Provost for Global Affairs. Together, we will explore the complex issues surrounding the President’s proposed immigration reforms, and how they might affect our economy, our educational system, and our community.

The event will be held on April 27th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm in room 304 at the UW Tacoma Y Student Center. Space is limited, so please register today.
