February 17, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM The Great Hall, Annie Wright Schools, Tacoma
Ann spent the last four years teaching at the International School of Helsinki in Helsinki, Finland. An opportunity to live and work overseas allows one to visit a country without being a tourist. One gains an experience of typical practices that can be very different from what are found in the US. Ann will present a personal reflection on life in Finland, a nation shaped by a most distinctive history, culture, and landscape.
