"The Penguin Glow:
Lessons From the Only Continent to Be
Imagined Before Being Discovered:
Antarctica"

Presented by Professor Charles Bergman
of Pacific Lutheran University

Antarctica is a place of otherness-- the anti-arctic. Yet for all its otherness, it seems to call directly and powerfully to the human imagination.  This talk will offer images and stories about what Antarctica can teach us about global climate change, about conservation issues, and perhaps most powerfully, about ourselves.
