Us The World Affairs Council Tacoma promotes activities that enhance public awareness of international, cultural, economic and political issues. Our functions include lectures, discussion groups, networking events, professional development programs, hosting of international visitors and the Annual Consular Association Reception. Officially incorporated on March 25, 1988, the World Affairs Council Tacoma is a non-profit, non-partisan, educational 501©(3) corporation. It is affiliated with the National Association of World Affairs Councils, a federation of over one hundred councils nationwide with over one million members. Our local leadership and support comes from the Tacoma-Pierce County region. Individual members and local corporations fund our activities. |
